Built From a Need for Solar Engineering Expertise
In the early 2010s, the solar energy industry began to shine into the mainstream. With the rise in demand for solar PV and the growth of solar installation companies came the drastic need for expertise, specifically around solar system permitting, design, and engineering.`
Solar contractors and EPCs needed standardized deliverables, consistent prices, and upfront delivery timelines on PV design and engineering services that were scalable.
PV engineers and designers needed a streamlined, repeatable process to deliver services with little friction.
In 2013, the GreenLancer marketplace was founded to solve this problem. GreenLancer is the only online marketplace for solar and EV charging station contractors to get standardized, quality permit design and engineering solutions with speed, reliability, and competitive pricing.

Since 2013, GreenLancer has served more than 7,500 contractors on over 200,000 clean energy projects and deployed $2.5 billion (and counting) in commercial and residential solar and EV charging stations nationwide.
We began with a clear purpose: to simplify solar design and engineering. Our team brought structure, consistency, and speed to the permitting process, giving solar installers and EPCs the tools they needed to scale with confidence.
As the industry grew, so did the needs of our partners. Today, we also support system repairs, maintenance, and performance upgrades.
