Job Description

The role of Human Resources Director is pivotal within the organization, aimed at a professional with a robust background in human resources, ideally within a startup or the residential or commercial construction sectors. This position is responsible for leading and advancing the human resources functions to support a vibrant internal team and a comprehensive network of subcontractors.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business

strategy that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and personal growth.

2. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or

other issues.

3. Manage the recruitment and selection process for internal team members and

subcontractors to align with the company's growth objectives.

4. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement,

motivation, and preservation of human capital.

5. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

6. Maintain pay plan and benefits program.

7. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.

8. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

9. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.

10. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build

morale, and increase productivity and retention.

11. Provide guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assist with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and

issues.

12. Facilitate and lead meetings and key initiatives and projects with client groups, and with the management team.

Job Qualifications

● Proven working experience as HR Director or other HR Executive.

● 5-10 years of startup and/or residential or commercial construction experience.

● Experience in human resource management within a company of 20-30 employees,

poised for growth.

● People-oriented and results-driven.

● Knowledge of HR systems and databases.

● Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.

● Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of

the company.

● In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
