Job Description

As the Director of Field Services in the Solar division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our

company's field operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, your primary responsibilities include executing new sales and services relationships with enterprise customers, particularly in field-based solar projects. This role demands a proactive approach in business development, especially with EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction companies) and finance entities. You will also be central in developing and refining processes for recruiting, training, and managing field service fulfillment partners, as well as overseeing logistics for field deployments.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management:

a. Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction through effective field service

management.

b. Foster strong relationships with customers and fulfillment partners for sales efficacy

and repeat business.

c. Address customer inquiries and issues promptly, focusing on proactive feedback

and resolutions.

2. Field Service Team Leadership:

a. Assist in setting goals, enhancing skills, and conducting performance reviews for

field service teams.

b. Provide training and support to team members and fulfillment resources.

c. Manage project prioritization and resource allocation effectively.

3. Continuous Improvement and Training:

a. Lead webinars on relevant field service topics.

b. Employ data and metrics to encourage continuous improvement in field services.

c. Organize regular performance review meetings with customers and team members.

4. Operational Excellence:

a. Manage and resolve concerns from field service’s fulfillment partners,

benchmarking against performance targets.

b. Use analytical skills and various tools to resolve customer issues and optimize

operations.

5. National Electric Code (NEC) Expertise:

a. Demonstrate and apply expert knowledge of the National Electric Code in all field

operations.

b. Ensure compliance and up-to-date practices in line with NEC standards.

6. Enhancing Field Service Margins and Reducing Installation Times:

a. Negotiate and scrutinize field service partner estimates and scopes of work.

b. Ensure cost-effectiveness and accuracy in partner proposals and contracts.

c. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve field service margins.

d. Develop strategies to decrease installation times without compromising quality.

7. Networking and Industry Engagement:

a. Engage in industry trade shows and conferences.

b. Travel to customer projects and meet with field service partners as needed.

Job Qualifications

● Uphold core values of integrity and respect in all interactions.

● Bachelor's degree (preferred).

● 7 to 10 years of direct solar field or related experience (preferred).

● Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

● Proficient in data analytics and making data-driven recommendations.

● Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to various software.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

● Positive attitude and strong team ethics.

● Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~15% of the time).
