Feasibility Studies and Proposals
A feasibility study is the first step in the solar installation project development lifecycle. During this study, we gather the information necessary to assess the viability of solar using findings from multiple studies that identify critical design constraints and issues.
What is an Interconnection Application?
Often the rules that govern the interconnection and application process can be very complicated, especially for larger systems. Beyond the interconnection application process itself, there may be rebate processing, design work, or other requirements that also need to be satisfied before permission is given.
Why use GreenLancer
Contractors who don’t have the expertise or bandwidth to generate their own proposals or financial analysis trust GreenLancer’s network of solar specialty subcontractors to quickly and accurately deliver customer-ready proposals.
Interconnection Application FAQ
Q: What does the Interconnection Application Service include?
A: Receive permission to operate (PTO) letters and rebate checks as fast as possible when you outsource with an experienced professional. All Interconnection Services include the drawings necessary for application and an application manager who will steer the project to approval.
Q: How long does it take to Apply for Interconnection?
A: If the drawings are already completed, many of our interconnection applications are submitted on the same day as ordered, giving you the fastest possible PTO time.
Q: How is the Interconnection Service Priced?
A: All of GreenLancer’s pricing is standardized by project size and type, so it's very easy to get an instant quote for your project. From time to time, we may get a project in a more difficult region that requires us to collect.
Q: Does the Service include the Application Fee?
A: Most of the interconnection services include the application submission fee in the price, but from time to time, we have to pass on the additional cost for utilities with higher fees. We do this at cost and don't mark it up at all.
Q: How is the Interconnection Application managed?
A: Once the order is placed, the service stays in production until the application is approved. Sometimes this is a matter of a few days, other times it can take weeks or even months to gain approval, depending on the utility. As you would expect, larger projects usually take longer than smaller projects to get approval, but as mentioned, that's not always the case.
